AUSTIN, TX – April 18, 2018 – Cece’s® Veggie Co., an Austin, Texas-based food brand, is pleased to share that Mason Arnold, company founder and Veggie Nerd, has joined the board of directors of the United Fresh Produce Association.
Arnold’s two-year term kicks off this week in Santa Fe, NM at the Spring meeting of the Board of Directors. The United Fresh Board serves as the senior volunteer leadership group for the association, with representation directly proportional to overall association membership.
“It’s a true honor to be nominated to the United Fresh board with such a prestigious lineup of industry leaders. I look forward to learning from this influential group and working with them to lead and support continued growth and innovation in produce,” said Arnold.
The United Fresh Produce Association recently named Arnold as the 2018 United FreshMKT Achievement Award recipient for his significant innovations in the marketing and merchandising of fresh produce. He will be honored with the award at the 2018 United FreshMKT Conference on Monday, June 25 in Chicago.
Arnold founded Cece’s Veggie Co. in 2015 as a bootstrapped start-up, and the company has grown to distribute organic vegetable spirals and riced veggies to retailers nationwide. The company is disrupting the produce section by creating a category of responsibly sourced, ready-to-eat meal solutions made from 100% organic vegetables.
The United Fresh Produce Association includes members in all areas of the produce supply chain, from small startups like Cece’s Veggie Co. to global corporations. The organization connects businesses across the industry to encourage relationship-building and symbiotic growth.
