Recap: Wanderlust 108 Festival in Houston, TX
Fun exercise, camaraderie and mindfulness with a side of veggie noodles?
Yes please! Our Beet on the Street team takes the noodle train on the road to meet and feed noodle lovers all over the country, and recently we had the pleasure of attending the Wanderlust Festival in Houston, TX.
The Wanderlust 108 Festival offers a triathlon consisting of a 5k, 90 minutes of outdoor yoga complete with a live DJ, followed by a 30 minute guided meditation. The events happen throughout the year all over the world, but the Houston event felt extra special as we came together to find our true north on the heels of healing the city from Hurricane Harvey.
We were especially inspired by one of yoga’s foremost teachers and philosophers, Chelsey Korus, who led a peppy yoga flow for the huge group. We’ve also never felt more centered than while meditating with American Buddhist teacher Noah Levine.
After the triathlon fun, we were pasta-tively thrilled to meet over 1,000 of the zen attendees and nourish them with our refreshing chilled organic beet spiral slaw. We loved being part of The Kula Market, which was teeming with vendors offering delicious bites and mindful merchandise, including our friends at Picnik Austin with allergy-friendly beverages and snacks.
We highly recommend the Wanderlust events and can’t wait to spin up our organic vegetable noodles at future gatherings! If you want to keep up with the Cece’s Veggie Co.
